Lila (Sanskrit: लीला līlā) or leela (/ˈliːlə, ˈlaɪlə/) openly translated as "divine play, game, sport" representing the concept of blissful divine Brahman's (Absolute) creativity detached of necessity. Within non-dualism, Lila is a way of describing all reality, including the cosmos, as the outcome of creative play by the divine absolute (Brahman). We live in our own individual realities of our own creation mostly uconscious acts. To embody the Brahman within, one must stop acting from necessity and act outside of cause and effect, outside of the Maya, or illusion and cosmic ignorance, as Maya is the collection of illusive ideas which create a world that is "untrue".
